Italy, Sicily Animal Detail Macro Night-time Story

Apparently ladybugs have a craving for sulphur (or some other thing) and thus hang around volcanoes. There were literally thousands of them. Unfortunately I didn't get much time to take a better shot.

  • Here in Portugal we name it "joaninhas". Original and cute shot!

  • Thanks a lot mel. Those ladybugs were there, I didn't have to change the scene in any way. I actually was in quite a hurry because my group was starting to walk back.

Thanks Remus. It was a nice moment to live, so I'm glad I froze it all right :D

  • This is just so nice, the punchy colors and contrast makes this come alive in such a beautiful way.

  • Thanks. I'm glad the flash didn't make the colours too flat.
