Sicily Landscape People Seaside Story Wide
Black beach
I have long wanted to do a very wide panorama, and that one is the first one I'm happy to publish here. It's not perfect, but hopeful the scene is interesting enough and it doesn't look too much like pictures glued together.

As for composition, well, there are good things, but something bothers me.
I feel like there is a strange kind of distorsion or of impossible perspective.
Did you fix the wide angle lens'distorsion before stiching?
The black part of the beach doesn't please me, so I'm trying to figure out how this could have been made to get a better final result, but I haven't found yet.
Don't mind the percentage of criticism is this post, it's just my being French that comes to the surface :)

I have a similar feeling about distortion, especially around the two biggest white buildings. I think the explanation is not barrel distortion but a wavy horizon. I have tried messing around with the alignment but couldn't improve the shot. I got sick of fail/retry and just kept the original ;). I need to find a better technique or be more careful in the first place when shooting.
I enhanced the luminosity on the black sand; maybe that's what you find unpleasant. Or are you talking about the shadow?

The shadow is quite alright with me, as we have its source. The sand might not be dark enough, but that's not my concern here.
I think that what I don't like is the ratio of sand and sky in the picture. With another perspective and a narrower panorama, this might have looked better, but such a perspective might not have been available, at least without a boat ;)
